Public Tours

Áras an Uachtaráin is open Saturdays only. Free admission tickets are issued at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, Ashtown Castle on the day. Group and/or advance booking is not possible.

Closed: 24-26 December.

Location

In the Phoenix Park, signposted from the Phoenix Monument 4km from centre of Dublin.

Buses
Bus No. 37, 38, 39 and 70 from Hawkins Street to the Halfway House roundabout on the Navan Road.  Enter park by the Ashtown Gate, walk approximately 190 metres to the T-junction and turn left, walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the building on your left, take the pathway on the right-hand side of the road which leads you towards the trees and the back gate of Ashtown Castle. Bus No. 10 (from O'Connell Street) to North Circular Road Gate (30 minute walk from Gate).

Trains
Dublin Connolly Station to Ashtown and Phoenix Park train stations, both of which are in close proximity to the Park.  Check www.irishrail.ie for timetable.

Phoenix Park Shuttle Bus
We regret to inform customers that due to budgetary restrictions the OPW has taken the difficult decision to terminate the Phoenix Park Shuttle Bus service.

The last day of the service will therefore be Sunday 24th January 2009.

The OPW would like to thank everyone who used this service since it commenced in May 2008.

In accordance with section 26(2) of the Disability Act 2005, the Office of Secretary General to the President has appointed Mr. Gerry Phelan as its Access Officer.

As Access Officer, Gerry is responsible for providing or arranging for, and co-ordinating assistance and guidance, to persons with disabilities accessing services provided by the office and generally to act as a point of contact for people with disabilities wishing to access such services.
