President Michael D. Higgins’ St Patrick’s Day itinerary 2017

President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina have a full day of public engagements this St. Patrick’s Day.

  • The President and Sabina will attend mass in St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral on Friday morning.
  • After Mass, the President and Sabina will attend the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on O’Connell Street.
  • Following the parade, the President and Sabina will go to Croke Park to watch the Club Hurling Final between Ballyea (Co. Clare) v Cuala (Co. Dublin).
  • At 5 pm. the President and Sabina will host a reception at Áras an Uachtaráin to acknowledge the special contribution made by citizens who have excelled in science, its application to Irish life and to Ireland’s international reputation. The Laptop Orchestra and traditional musicians will provide entertainment for the evening.
  • Afterwards, the President will attend the Ireland v England Womens’ Rugby Six Nations League in Donnybrook Stadium.
