As part of the selection process to determine the hosts for the Rugby World Cup 2023, President Higgins met with members of a World Rugby technical working group reviewing selected bids, at Áras an Uachtaráin.

The Rugby World Cup 2023 host union will be selected by the World Rugby Council on November 15, 2017.
