President and Sabina Higgins mark Earth Hour by switching off the lights at Áras an Uachtaráin

In a symbolic gesture to illustrate the collective power that individual actions can unlock, President and Sabina Higgins marked Earth Hour 2017 by switching off the lights at Áras an Uachtaráin.
During Earth Hour, all non-essential lights in Áras an Uachtaráin will be switched off, with the exception of the President's "light in the window" for the diaspora.
