Ambassadors present their Credentials

Their Excellencies, the Ambassadors of the Republic of Burkina Faso, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of the Philippines presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.
 
H.E. Ms. Jacqueline Zaba, Ambassador of the Republic of Burkina Faso was accompanied by Mr. Ousmane Ba, First Counsellor.
 
H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand was accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Thipayasuda Suvanajata, and Miss Porpot Changyawa, Counsellor;
 
H.E. Mr. Antonio Manuel R. Lagdameo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines was accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Linda F. Lagdameo, Ambassador’s spouse;
Mr. Rommel Romato, Second Secretary and Consul;
 
Minister Brendan Griffin T.D, Minister for State for Tourism and Sport represented the Government at the ceremony.
 
The following were also present:  Mr. Art O’Leary, Secretary General to the President; Col. Liam Condon, Aide-de-Camp to the President; Ms. Aingeal O’Donoghue,
Assistant Secretary, EU Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr. Feilim McLaughlin, Mr. Joe Brennan and Ms. Claire Buckley, Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
 
The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Karl Dempsey. 
 
A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the Air Corps, Casement Air Base, Baldonnel, Dublin under the command of Second Lieutenant Aidan Higgins. 
 
Captain Fergal Carroll conducted the Army No. 1 Band, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
